Great rams! Where was the hunt? Yukon? What did the whole thing end up costing you? Just for curiosities sake. Can you give us any info on the outfitter and weather you would recomend him?

part of the hunt. Access is extremely difficult in that outfit. Plane only gets you into a couple spots.

I thought it was illegal to hunt with a helicopter? Not sure where I heard that. Is this true?

these are two really nice rams bridger.i have a story about the nahanni to tell.
i think it was 1973 or1974,my dad worked in the nwt,he loved sheep hunting he was from the kootneys.he read all the books he could find on sheep hunting.he found a book about the nahanni,in it this guy goes up in a canoe through the first canyon,on the top end of the canyon is a creak called ram creak.he walked up it a couple days and shot a big dall ram.
after he read that book he asked me if i'd like to go up the nahanni to ram creak and shoot a couple dall rams.,like it was no big deal.being 20 yrs old i believed him.
we loaded up his 16ft zodiac launched it in the liard river and headed upsteam to the nahanni.we had so much fuel and grub we had to pull it up in spots, just like the guy in the canoe.
when we got to nahanni butte we talked to the preacher who was there.he said if we didn't get rid of at least half of our stuff we would never make it up the nahanni.we unloaded half the stuff and started up the river.lucky we unloaded we would have never made it.we pulled that zodiac quite abit on the way in there.stopped at the hot springs just below the first canyon for a couple days to take in the sights.amazing place first canyon is something to see, wasn't touched by the glaciers it is quite something, even for a 20 year old.
finally made it to ram creak took us 7 days that river is a slow grind if you don't have the power.
started up ram creak the next morning the mountians looked along way off and they were.took us a couple days i think, can't really remember, but we made it to timberline, set up our camp and had a rest.alls we had was a tarp 1 sleeping bag 1 rifle and not much food.we were going live off the land and stay up there till we got our rams.
next morning we headed for the top and over the other side.
there were sheep everywhere across the draw on the otherside of where we were.seemed like hundreds, probably wasn't that many but there were alot.singles doubles small herds.we figured any bunch with less than 5 sheep in it were rams.we only had a pair of 7x binos so we couldn't tell.they were quite aways away.
thinking those sheep weren't going anywhere we kept going up the mountian we were on.
we got to the top and there was a small ram on this big plateau,he sees us and went behind a small hill.
my dad said that we needed some camp meat, and seeing how i was younger i should run up there and shoot him.
so i run up to that hill ,peeked over the top and there were 7 rams 2 real nice ones.
2 hours later we were heading down with 2 real nice dall rams.mine was 41inches and dads was 39.
took us awhile to get back down to the river, but we made it.in 8 hours we were at the truck.took us 5 or 6 days in 8 hrs out.
will never forget that trip.
on the way down ram creak if wiped out in the creak and lost my timex marlin watch.
when dad got home he told a couple of his friends about all the sheep we saw,the next summer they flew right to the spot we got our sheep in a helicopter, you were aloud to then.
they hunted there way down, never saw one sheep.on the way down the craek they looked down in the creak and there was my timex marlin, and it still worked.
sorry this is so hard to read but i'm the pits at typing and capitals letters and everything else that has anything to do with typing

no I didn't how big?

One Scored just over 170, had big bases and the weight carried to the tips, I think it was 38 1/2 inch curl. The other one scored around 168. 43 inches one one side and 43 and a bit on the other. Not exactly sure on the lengths, but im close.

Check out their website, they should be on there.

I have seen the pictures on their 2008 hunt report. A link can be found on their website. My research has found Nahanni Butte to be a great out fit so after talking to bridge and a couple other folks, I booked a hunt with them for 2010. Looking forward to that! A hunt in the NWT for Dall's has always been a dream of mine. So I figured that i would do it while I still can.

the Taxi should be able to fix up that horn pretty easy no?

probably better than hitting him in the face.....much more difficult to repair a shredded face than a horn.

great sheep bridger, a real beauty.
