Out looking for a big guy, I happened upon these two, without a care in the world. I spent fifteen minutes with 40yds of these two studs, courting the ladies. I passed on a 160 buck three weeks ago, because I know there is a bigger one around, so I'm out trying to connect with him now. Saw him Saturday, only after someone took about five shots at him from 300yds plus in a clearing. Right from their truck!! They didn't even bother to get out and check if he was hit. I snuck down to where he was, but he busted me at about 30yds. He didn't look like he was hurting as he bounded through the timber. All I can do is keep trying. If I had to guess he's about 28in across and quite heavy. It's my second encounter with him but couldn't get a point count the first time and he saw me before I saw him the second time.

Out again today. As I'm watching some does hoping the Big Guy might be with them, I hear the dreaded sound of ravens. My first thought, as my stomach turns, is that the buck did get wounded the other day and died. Curiosity being what it is, I had to check it out. Thankfully it was a coyote someone had shot. Although a little later in the day I came across a sight that gives hunters a bad name. Someone had shot a 3 point. Realizing it wasn't legal, they attempted to cover it up with a few logs. It's only a matter of time before someone finds it.

Yes, it was shot in the boiler room. The hole was very evident.
