anyone been there recently? deer in the rut still? any snow around. i am heading up for bow season tommorrow morning for first light.any info wood be great thanks.

I wandered up there a couple of weeks ago looking for grouse (and visiting friends), and we seen several 2 points (Allenby area, on ranch property). 4 points are a little more elusive obviously but they're out there, and you need to move further away from town. Not as a suggestion but more my own ideas, but if I were to be hunting the area I would try the Wolfe Creek area out at the end of Copper Mtn Rd as a lot of the land north and east of town is owned (along the rivers). Sunday Summit and Placer area wouldn't be a bad idea either. Good luck and enjoy one of my favourite areas of the province! LR
