Well my whitetail season is over. Shot a 5X5 buck that I somehow thought was huge. Talk about "ground shrinkage"......

If that is a small whitetail, then I am coming hunting with you next year. Why dont I shoot the small ones! Hey this season I still have a tag! PM me if you know where there is another small one. Nice baby deer.

They should all 'shrink' like that. That is one fine buck. Congratulations.
True ground shrinkage is when 4 of the 5 points mysteriosly disappear.

I've shot a few "shrinkers" that I'd figured were bruisers....
But mine certainly didn't look like that !

Nice Buck ! Congrats ! 8-)

That is a fine buck.
The northern B.C. whitetails have some great genetics, same as Alberta or Sask.

I'm not sure there is a formula for the common affliction of Ground Shrinkage, but it sure looks like a nice one !!!
Im still looking for a White Tail myself.
Thanks for sharing,
Rob
