Current BC record is 465.
And I'd guess thisone is a tad over 415, too.
Great bull.

I rec's these pictures in an e-mail some time in mid-Sept. Appears to have been shot Sept 3rd. Live picture of him taken Sept 2nd.
Here is the e-mail with names and addresses removed:

Subject: An opportunity of a lifetime

I had an opportunity of a lifetime this last week and got to be a part of
the hunt for this Washington giant.

The hunter was Dan Agnew from Vancouver Wa.

The bull is a 9x10, with a green score of 450" plus.

It will be the new WA state record.

Live on the evening of 9/2/08 from across the canyon.

The morning of 9/3/08.

Someone on this site said that there was a huge bull shot in the Creston area at the beginning of sept that scored 415 ,I can't remember his avatar name ????

Anyways that bull is one that I dream about most times ,only in my dreams will I ever get that close to getting one.

Hey Wayne that was me that originally posted the huge elk in Creston.
It was a 9X9 that green scored in the low 400's.
There was also a absolutely huge 7X7 that also score in the 400's....but that 9X9 was cool....a total freak of nature that any elk hunter would be happy to get.

X2. A once in a lifetime opportunity, for many of us.

These photos and a few more were sent to me from a friend in Creston, complete with the names of the guys from Creston. (2 from Creston, 1 from the Trail area). I believe it was taken in the Creston area. I also noted that the camera dates were in bow season, but the date of the kill was said to be Sept 10. Not a world record, but a definitely monster elk of a lifetime.

I just read the post from 6616; now with todays photo-shop capabilities, and the BS that goes on around the web you never know for sure. Maybe I should cut and paste my photo on top and claim it as mine. Naw, I'll just go out next year and get a bigger one..............

Anyone with enough money for a governors tag can shoot one of those things.

That's just a dink bull for Wa. Old old news. It's nothing compared to the Spider Bull from the land of Utard, which will probably be crowned as the next World Record once the 60 days is complete. Athough it won't be official until it goes to the Panel whenever the next Awards period ends.

Hey, It's funny how things keep on getting bigger and bigger. The 9x9 shot in the Creston area Grossed in 370's netted non-typical in 350's. The 7x7 Grossed in 370's and netted non-typical in 360's I believe. The West Kootenay bull grossed in low 400's maybe and netted 370-380. Still big but not 400 bulls.

Cheers

I dunno...tried boiling, roasting, wet-frying...even powdered and sprinkled over frothy coffee...just can't get the hankerin' for the taste of antlers.

Give me a big-bodied Rosie with plenty to dine on...that's an animal worthy of harvest.

Big racks and scores...pffft.

Yeah...I'd pull a trigger on something like that too. Torn really.
Still a jaw-dropper.

Here is the info on this bull as taken from the Boone & Crockett Trophy Watch web page.

Dan Agnew took this outstanding 9x10 non-typical American elk from Washington State (not Oregon). The free-ranging bull (not pen raised) has been officially scored and is expected to be entered soon. The entry score is 436-2/8 net B&C and 446-4/8 gross B&C.

The current state record non-typical from Washington scores 421-7/8 and was taken from Kittitas County in 2003 by Jeffery G. Thorpe.

That Boone & Crockett Trophy Watch page as a ton of good info. Almost all the big animals on this site that have a ton of wishy washy rumors are on that page. It is so fun to sit an dread how people on here know the people who shot it and where it was shot. I sit and read the B&C page and laugh out loud. Do not ruin my fun.
