Heading up to Region 3 to give it another whirl. Was up there about a month ago, but pretty warm and dry, and the rut should be going pretty good by now. Gonna try and beat this one from there a couple years ago. Not a real monster, but I was proud of him, because of the hunt. Called him right in, in the thickest deepest steepest timber. Had 3 bucks coming in actualy, but this guy was the fist to show himself, snorting and dripping, looking for me. Cant wait to hit the same hill...

good luck , it was Nov 18th last year that me and my brother were in region 3 and missed out on two big bucks that were together with some does, and later on we spotted a gronky 3 pointer with 7 does showing some fine rutting activity

Thanks gents. I use an old school grunt tube, and back the reed all the way off, so it sounds like the biggest, oldest, nastiest buck in the woods. Heading out tomorow afternoon, and will be in the bush Wed, the 19th, a lucky day for me in the past.. cant wait...

Taboo????

we weighed it at the butcher shop.

Just a wild-assed guess on my part, but I bet your butcher has a new Cadillac, new quad, new diesel truck, new house, a big RRSP, and is gonna retire after this year.

360lbs x 80 cents/pound = $288 to cut up a two point in less than an hour. Not bad.
