Just got CORE'd up and want to get my first hunt in still this season. Just looking for a few pointers on where a good spot for a couple new hunters would be. Young, in shape, want to hike as oppose to straight road hunting. Not overly obsessed with bagging something (would be nice to get some meat in the freezer though) but would just like to get the feet wet and get out in nature.

We were thinking Texada, but after reading some of the post on here... starting to get second thoughts.

Any general info is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Langley. Willing to drive and we will have a truck. I've been trying to find info on the Sunshine Coast but it doesn't seem to promising...From what I've read so far it seems like region 3 is our best bet?

Try the hills above Chilliwack lake or the Skagit valley. I has deer, but can be very challenging.

If you guys have access to a boat head up Howe Sound. Gambier is a good spot, lots of logging roads and a few government docks where you can tigh up the boat.
