Yesterday, Peter took me sturgeon fishing on our boat and we joined Mike(Leasemen) and his son Nick(Mini Leaseman) and mike's friend Mike on their boat.

We launched at a different place today because of the dragon boats celebration in Fort Langley.

The best part of our day was just being on the river as it was such a beautiful morning and afternoon, the water was perfect and calm. Unfortunately the sturgeon were feeling lazy as well and not wanting to bite. We or should I say I caught a small 3.5 footer and Mike friend brought one up to the boat close to the same and that isall we got for the day but many nibbles to our lines.

It is always such a relaxing time out there away from everything, we had a nice lunch on board of home made lobster cakes (similar to crab cakes) and shish kabobs with buffalo meat and vegetables. I ove that little bbq Peter bought to hok up to the boat :)

I have some really great videos from the day but have to figure out how to make them smaller as they wont fit through photobucket - I may ahve to link them through you tube.

Mike, Nick and Mike#2 thanks for making the day so much fun especially when you decided to start throwing ice cubes at me hehehehehe.

Nice fish Ali.

Was that the big one of the day?
Is it a little late in the yr for them, or do you catch them anytime?

Fishing usually slows down in through December - Beginning of March. This year has been exceptionally mild and I think fishing will continue to be good into December. I have heard of some guys having excellent days in December when lots of the other guys are off the river because it is too cold and fishing is too inconsistent.

It was a slow day on the river for sure!

After checking with some guide/buddies this am, for the most it was a slow day....

But where else is BC can you go, be out with some great people, have the sun shine down on you and the temp be in the low teens.....

Of course watching the antics of Peter and Alison does have a way of making the day pass faster!!

And no Alison, post no pics of us, someone might say that a rod was handlwed wrong....

R.D.....Sturgeon fishing is slowing down right about now.....cooler water and less food supply slows then right bown and by the end of the month it is very, very quiet.......
