I get 14 but its tough at the base. It's also hard to know all that he is missing.

with that much horn missing he would score around 186, sounds like a little outfitter exageration. Great old ram regardless, You can't pass on them when their that old

Well, from what annuals I can see he's 12.5 yrs old. Given he's missing his lamb tips. Oh yah, he's losing his teeth and he also has a very tight curl for a thinhorn.

i took a few different sets of sheep horns and counted the age rings down to a 10 inch circumference or aproxamitely 16 inches. I came up with 15.5 yrs. old with the average of these added on. The C.O. ( who is a sheep biologist) aged it at 17.5 yrs. I put it on the site hoping someone would try and draw red and blue lines on all the annular and false rings....
any takers ? :-P

ps...the ram in my avatar is only a 37 inch ram...... it was kind of a dwarf

Wow !
Good thing some one tagged him, or he may have died of old age, or a rodent of some type might have set up shop in his left horn .
What a Cool Ram, wish it were mine. What does he score any way?

yes i did guide the hunter that got him, it is on my video and his score was about 152 + . I actually turned him down with another hunter the year before because we had spotted this other ram that was only about 500 yds from him.

this ram was 11.5 if i remember correctly and the video is called "Sheep Hunting with Mike & Benny" and is not available in stores everywhere. But there may be some available on this site sometime soon. Benny was my dog and had been on over 50 successful hunts with me. And yes he was a good dog.
