Set up 9 decoys and had probably the best hide of the year against a fencerow. Another great hunt.

The last flock that came in we dropped a few honkers that must of came off some lake upnorth with some different minerals in it. They all had copper colouring in the white checks. The picture doesnt really show how much orange but they were pretty neat.

probably feeding out of a sewage lagoon . Just kidding.
Nice looking birds and spread.
I just ordered a dozen Dakota Extreme Honkers so I'm a bit excited to see how they work out. Hoping to have them by the late season to give them a test run.

 I hope not, I was thinking more along the lines of a lake with high iron content, even their chest feathers had orangish colour on them.
Those dakotas should work great, I hear they have a real good motion system to them, real simple but it works. Hope you pound some honkers over them when they come.
Maybe in the pumpkin fields, lots of smashed rotten pumpkins around, saw some brown/orange looking white on some in a field last week

Glad to hear you had a great hunt! Are those decoys or live geese in the first picture.

Those are just decoys in the first picture. We had 3 different flocks land right in the kill hole and I wanted to get pictures of them with the decoys but I couldnt move enough to grab my camera while in the blind.

Was out again this morning. Had a very good shot, landed a ton of birds and I got a few pictures of them in the decoys. Heres a nice little lesser about 20 feet away.
He actaully got the pass and flew away unharmed becuase theres was more to his right but I had grass infront so I could get good pictures.
And just as I was taking this picture, a huge golden eagle dropped and actaully clawed our one decoy. I wasnt quick enough to get a photo but it was damn cool to see.
