Hi,
I am Mark, bowhunter, new to this site so I ll start off with my first post with some pics from my most recent hunt.
Me and my buddy have been scouting a lot of areas in region 8 in pre season.
During our scoutings we have marked few areas were we have seen a lot of activity, and specific routes used by the game from feeding to their bedding areas. There was one specific area which allowed us to spot the game from a higher elevation and the surrounding terrain made it for a good spot n’stalk strategy. In the past I blew a lot of opportunities while trying to sneak within a bow range to mule deer bucks, but over the years I have paid extreme attention to detail when it comes to the stealth and fooling deer’s senses and now I have finally been rewarded. It is far from a trophy buck but it sure made for an great tasting venison stew.

Cheers,
Mark

Great archery buck. Any time you can arrow a wiley mulie with a bow (up close and extremely personal) it is an occasion for CONGRATULATIONS!

Good on ya! Fine table fare indeed.

Great stuff but I have to disagree with your statement about it not being a trophy. Any big game animal taken with a bow is a trophy IMHO, well done!

Nice job but If I were you I would not go back into that area, I have heard that there is a crazy man up there that eats bow hunters. The bow hunting near Clearwater is much better.

Great job. Spot and stalk to within bow range is surely a very tough thing to accomplish.

Yup, great job boys. Thanks for sharing. Any harvest with a bow is a trophy, make no mistake about it.

Congratulations.

Mark--That was a heck of a story---your a bowhunter and that takes a special type of hunter to go back to the old ways of survival---sitting silent like a ninja---blending in--watching the wind direction---anticipating the preys every move---and then being able to send that arrow to the vital area----you did fantastic and I look up to you hunters using bow and arrows with precision---
Thanks for the photos and the great story--
Jelvis-very exciting--keep hunting and posting hunter.
