Muley and Whitey Double Header

First let me warn you all, I do have pics, just cant figure out how to load them onto the forum. I cant seem to shrink them enough to post.

This story starts out like all other hunting stories. Lots of hype and excitement only to be discouraged with the results. Hunting in region 4 can be a challenge with the fog and mist. When the weather finally broke the deer started moving and the lead started to fly.

Buck # 1

Walked into a nice clearcut and found this guy with 6 ladies. No chance for buck fever as instinct took over and in less than five seconds a muley tag was cut. A non typical 5 x 5 with 2 stickers on both sides.

Buck # 2

After hanging the big brute, we headed to the flats to find a whitey. This proved to be another quick hunt, after only 10 minutes of driving and walking maybe 400 yards into an old logging block this sneaky guy decided to cross the road and hang around in the tree line long enough to afford a shot. Time to cut the whitey tag.

Yes the deer is at the local taxidermy shop, if I only ever get one mount I believe this to be the one. As for score, I dont know, to me it doesnt really matter as it is my biggest, so therefore scores first place.

What region some of you have asked, well somewhere in region 4 or was it region 8. lol

Luck, definetly. I have spent over 20 days afield this season and these were the first legal animals to be seen and harvested. I'm lucky to just get out and enjoy what we are so blessed with here in BC. This year I managed at least 2 days in all 8 regions of BC.

I hope to make one more trip to V. island before the season ends.

That is one of the best shooting guns I own, there is not a grouse inside 50 yards that I can't take the head off of.

Ammo is a little pricey for just plinking though.
