Does anybody know about the military range in chilliwack? I have heard that the public can access this range? is this true? or is there a range in the lower mainland longer than 300 yards?

The rifle range (volks sp?) in chilliwack is off limits to joe blow public. The Forces use it as well as some long range shooting clubs which hold matches there.

I believe Mission has a 300 yard range.

Yeah, as far as I know it's off limits. Used it once in a training exercise years ago. Fenced and secured.

ok i guess i was just getting my hopes up, it was a fellow at reliable gun in vancouver that had mentioned it. also how is the grouse and or pheseant hunting down here?

BCRA uses the range on a regular basis, I guess if you are a member you can attend the shoots they arrange.

I think he may be talking about the old military range, it isn't behind any fence and has not been kept up but we have used it, there is zero signage stating no tresspassing etc.
You guy must be talking about the other range in behing secured lines??
I know of 3 ranges in Chillibush.
