Where I go hiking with my dogs on Red Mtn behind the Mission gun club. A little spike buck blacktail! I thought they were like unicorns or hypogriffs, a figment of someone's imagination. And of course I wasn't hunting....

i have concluded that blacktail bucks in urban areas are kept to keep hunters' interest alive only. In the hunting areas of chillicack and harrison, all tracks are made by does as there are no bucks. The few dead bucks that show up on this board are clearly farm-raised and have been taken into the forest for a photo session prior to processing. I'm fairly certain of that

There's two kinds of Blacktail hunters, them that have and them that want too!!! C'mon guys, get out there and get one. I've seen more bucks walking the main roads this time of year, get out there and get one already!!!

Harrison main, east or west you pick. It's a 50/50 kinda thing!!! I've seen some very nice deer taken on the Chealis main. But unless your willing to walk a LONG way, the whole area is gated due to the massive slide last fall.
