Has anyone been up for a look around for Kettle river WT does? I have a doe tag for 8-12, and was wondering if they had started to move down the valley yet?/
Thanks

been there last weekend.lot of MD deers and does. seen several W/T does ,but close to houses, so we did not shoot. partner shoot at w/t doe in the bush. we were not sure if hit or miss.checked around for an hour or so. could not find any blood traces.overall my impression w/t is there but mostly close to private property.good luck

We know where the whiteys are hiding but you have to be willing to walk in for em'. Not a road hunt :)

Was up there a couple of weeks ago and saw one of my first whitetails. It was a fawn and it was gut shot... turned around to go get the hunters we just saw and they had high tailed it out of there:mad:

Your worried about getting a whitie doe with a gun, just keep driving around and you'll get one. They live there.

There are a pile of resident deer in there as well. Anytime in November is a good time to be out chasing wt's. They usually start moving into wintering/rutting areas in late October/Early November and it only gets better from then on.

Just drive really fast on Hwy 33 at night and you'll 'bag' them with your pickup.

longbow, I logged the(s**t) out of the westkettle area and from what I can remember, Beaver ck, 401, Taurus Lk, West kettle were good around the 2nd to 3rd week in Nov. Those areas are around Beverdell. The rut has yet to happen. Good luck to you.
