hare hunting

We are new to hunting. Where can we hunt hares with our Drevers (hounds)? We live in the lower mainland so we'd like something close by.

well hound hunter. head up to sunday summit, seen lots there in august also past there by the big burn seen some down lower and a few grouse to.i want to get my gsps out but i cannot find the time.

I think that it might be a good year for rabbits.Saw three on the road about three weeks ago just below the lodge at Mt.Baldy.Saw a few turkeys in the area to.Not much big game in that area though.

Well i know the okanagan isnt exactly close... but in three evening hunts in region 8-10 last week i easily saw over a hundred of the furry buggers...just something to think about, it would be worth your while

Thanks for the suggestions! Are there snowshoe hares in the okanagan? Where is the closest you've seen hares?

I have seen them not far from Oliver but as Ruger#1 says there are a lot near Sunday Summit which is just East of Manning patk.Alot closer for you.

This past week on the back road to Murray lake I saw more rabbits than I've seen on any other hunting trip before, and I wasn't even looking for them.
