I have never hunt for white tale and was thinking I am going to be in kelowna nov.20-25. and was thinking of doing a day hunt before it closes. Can anyone point me in the right direction, or any tips would help too. I was thinking of heading towards the big white turn off and beyond

yes there are whitetail around here, I have yet to shoot one.........

We shot a young buck about 3 years old by beaverdale last week This week i was up on north fork fsr today saw three does up there i also went up to bug fsr and went in @ mile 48 i saw a couple there couple a weeks ago but nothing seen there.If you find the does i try to call the buck in and sit and wait and wait somemore.Good luck

I haven't hunted there all that much, but I have had luck up the 3 forks and Joe Rich area (a few doe tags filled, and one buck) the last few years. Agree with ktown, with whitetails,wait, and wait some more. I have blown it with 2 different WT bucks this year, by getting the twitchy leg just as they were about to sneak out in the open at last light. If I had been still I'd have had a chance at either of them.

I used to hunt the James Lake service road a few years back. Just in Behind Black Mountain.

Its the turnoff that goes direstly up the hill just before the hairpin on Hwy 33. ( Mind you this was 7 years ago, but bagged a good one. Saw moose, bears too)

Any of those roads up Hwy 33 should get you into whiteys. Also some around Beaver/Dee/Oyama/Postil Lake area.

Three forks and Philpot road are normally full of white-tailed deer during the last two weeks as well. There are quite a few hunters out during the last week but you can always find your own little piece of heaven. Get off the roads, find some rubs and a spot to sit.

It doesn't take much to avoid the crowds with a tree stand ..... GG knows this!
