My first big game animal of the year was a nice Black Bear Boar for smokies. I took him last evening with my 8x57 Remington Classic shooting the 200 Partition. Shot was about 150 yards, and it absolutely flattened him! Exit about the size of a toonie, and lungs completely shot. This rifle is finding a place in my "favorites" roster. I loaded some 200 Accubonds today and hustled out to the range to try them. Shot three groups, all under 1", with the best at .64" This load will be looking for a moose or elk to lay low. What kind of speed you getting on those 200gr partition? I've got the 200's loaded up in the 300 win mag suposed to be doing somewhere around 2960 with a max load of retumbo.

Marc; They go over the Chrony at 2625 FPS chased by a good dose of WC852 in old Dominion Brass. I am getting 2800 with the 180 Ballistic Tip using Vihtavuori N-150. Very accurate load also. Steeleco, sorry no pics, camera is kaput. Regards, Eagleye. http://www.hunt101.com/img/325212.jpg
