5-14 question

Heading for the northern portion of 5-14 next week. First time there.
Any point in purchasing a white tail tag?
Any recent reports or info on this area?

Purchase the tag more white tails are showing up all the time - in the area - sure would be a shame to see a nice Buck and not be able too bag it -

Was in 5-14 last week, Doe city, went for a 3 hour walk, lost count of the does in the 30-40 range.
Bucks........different story, we saw one 2 pointer in 4 days and couldn't get a shot......Talking to some locals up there and the general opinion was that bucks are thin on the ground right now.

Heard plenty of shots though, but you never know how many people had Doe tags.

Good luck, it's a different week and they might be everywhere now!

The 5-14 does NOT have sufficient whitetails to purchase a special tage for..some other areas yes but NOT 5-14..

The mule deer bucks have been scarce indeed however it ISSNOWING OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW..so tracks and the rut and the colder temps may help???

Heard plenty of shots though, but you never know how many people had Doe tags.
In 5-14 they handed out 870 antlerless tags for November. This is the first year I didn't get one.

I've never seen a white tail in 5-14.

I will be staying in Quesnel Saturday till the following Sunday if anyone up there wants to get together for a pint and talk hunting drop me a PM before I leave Saturday am.

The doe draw was 1.6 to 1 this year and I did not get one either. LOL!

If hunting mule deer in this region and if there are whitetail open in 5-14 I would buy a tag.
I always buy tags for what animals I am interested on taking if they are open in the region I will be hunting ,you never know what might walk out in frount of you..
