Hey folks
Were back from our great trip. It was quite warm and the deer weren't moving much. But we managed to pull out 2 bucks.
The first day our buddy and his son had seen a 4 pointer running while they were walking. The next day My buddy and I decided to go for a walk in the same area where they seen it. So we were walking fast to get to the spot where the seen him the day before, but that was a mistake. never try to get anywhere. sos we walked down a trail towards the area he was bedded when they saw him. never saw nothing so we slowly headed back to camp. and then BOOM there goes a shot and then another one. we figured it was one of our dads so my buddy hits up the walkie talkie and calls his old man. "did you shoot somthing?" "yeah" "how big?" " i got my first 4 pointer" "where did you get it?" "just on the road here and here" "no way we just walked there 10 minutes ago". so it turns out we walked 20 feet away from the buck when we were walknig fast:(
And on the last evening i managed to get a small 2 point right before dark.
