I'm just submitting this story for a buddy of mine, here's his story..
Well, we were somewhere on Earth (reg. 3) and was the second last day of any buck season. I was on the prowl for a lil spiker or two point meat buck. I called my buddy Craig and we decided to head out to an area that he knew had many small bucks. after an hour of glassing and stalking we came across a number of does and finally spotted this little spiker. Glassed him for about 20 min as he was about 800 yds out and it dipped into the scrub. at this point we decided to try and push it out into the open so I could have a poke at him. After an hour of walkin the scrub nothing turned up and I was beginning to become discourage as I had skipped most of all my classes this week to get a buck and this was my first one that i had seen all week!! We sat down after this and had a quick bite to eat and started moving about 30 min after. this was roughly 10 am when we dropped into a draw and were walking down a trail towards an opening when a doe popped her head out into the clearing and right on her tail was this muley. My buddy craig spotted them and said "Buck... SHOOT!". So i moved up 2 yds to the closest tree and leaned off a branch and took the first shot at 220 yds which turned the lungs into jelly. He dropped and then jumped up and was just spinning circles as i reloaded and placed another into the neck which clipped his spine. I was shooting a 30-06, and as my buddies know the scope is a bit "crooked" haha.. so all in all I am quite proud of this animal and can't wait for the first fry up!! This is my first ever 4x4 muley and to boot he even has character with the "crab-claw" on the left side!! soo Cool! grossed out at 167 3/8.
