Its 430 am here in Burnaby on friday, I am heading north to relay Mountain for the weekend looking for Deer first, Bear second but I will take whatever comes my way, looking to fill the freezer since I just finished my deer from last year.

Hope Something comes up, I get to hunt with a 25 year hunting veteran so hopefully I can pick up some tips.

More when I get back on Sunday/Monday.

Hi Guys, just got back last night, I got a small 2 point tastes real good but a bit on the small side. He looked a lot bigger in my scope and i think I had a bit of buck fever Good part was that it was easier to drag him back over the mountain to camp :) My hunting partner got a giant 3 point, real nice deer. I spotted him across a valley maybe 350yards but I am not comfortable shooting that far so I let my partner take him and a great shot it was base of the neck, through takng out lungs and heart, he dropped right away. My shot was almost identical, very happy with it as this is my second animal harvested since I started hunting.
That is a great area, I was happy that since we were not seeing any big 4- point animals we decided to head over the mountain into region 5 where it was any buck. It was a huge learning weekend for me, topped off in instruction on how to butcher my own deer which is now sitting in my freezer :D Pics to follow and my excitement for the nov 1-15 moose hunt in 5-02C is growing !!!

Pics to come when I can get them developed.

Grats on the deer. Were there many smaller bucks in the region 3 side? And did you run into many other hunters? How were the roads? I'm thinking of checking the area out soon.
