I've heard stories that there's some good bears above the Limit hole, on Larsons bench. never hunted there just word of mouth.

Alternatively there's always the Skagit valley. They're elusive, but they're there!!

Welcome aboard, don't forget to report back with pictures!!!

just wait close to the hatchery and you can choose one of them.. I saw ones and my buddy 3 times a bear under the hatchery to pick up the fish from the river.. funny was it did not give a sh.. about the guys fishing there.. :))

Note maps B2 and B4 in the regs (page 37), before hunting along the river.

Go past the hatchery about 3 or 4 kms and theres alot of off shoots, go in, you'll see lots of bear shit, so bears will be around, just get past all the dirt bikers where it gets a little quieter.

Yeah we have been up to Depot creek and saw some tracks but nothing much, My dad is didabled so we are trying to fill the tag so he can still enjoy it, personally I would go in and track but with artificial hips it makes it hard for him.

You don't have to go far. Take any of the off shoots and get above the crowds on the roads. Or hunt mid-week. The noise level is certainly down. Also check out the back road areas of Chehalis and Harrison. Or also check Stave Lake area. Be mindful of no shooting zones though.

East of west side of Stave? I've seen a few good bears in and around Kenyon lake. But they aren't willing to stick around for pictures!!

x2 on this advice .... but don't go there if you're also hoping to tag a deer. Virtually no deer sign what so ever in that area.

we were on the west side of the lake right up into the mountains, when you are heading to the bog we took a road to the left
