Well we are headed out tomorrow morning at 4:15am for our trip to 5-02. We are a day late leaving but thats ok... we are out tomorrow so all is well. This is the first trip I have made hunting into the interior in about 20 years and is the first dedicated deer trip I have ever taken. I am taking my 17 year old son who has a youth doe draw and it will be his first hunting trip into the interior ever. We will be gone for a week and will be hunting hard to try to connect but I'm sure it will be a great trip no matter what. We have been looking very forward to it for many months now.

My buddy 5-spike is coming as well and is also bringing his young son with us to enjoy a great trip.

Be back in a week hopefully with some great pictures and a few good stories.

I was just in 5-2 last weekend. We had permission to a farm. In one feild we saw over 30 does. I wished I had a doe tag. We ended up with 2 small bucks.
