Got out today in the same area we got the Porcupine Moose a couple weeks ago. Left town at 5:15am, by 11am we had this guy on the ground. ~150yrd shot, with the 7-08, 150gr Serria GK, this gun as impressed me!!! internal damage was massive!! with no meat loss. Sorry about the blood bits, remembered the camera after we got it cleaned!

i was suprised when i shot my first moose last season with my 7mm-08 with a 150gr nosler what it did inside without losing any meat, the shot also just clipped a rib on the way out.

I noticed when we first saw him he looked really black, also his neck looked real short!!? Back East we called them timber Moose!!?
