I was up hunting in Prince George for a week with my dad and friends. My friend Bill, me and my dad had a cow moose draw. on the first day bill shot a nice dry cow and on hte second day my dad shot another cow. My chances were restricted then to a calf or 2 point bull.
We were driving in 7-11 looking for deer and a 2 point bull stepped out of the ditch. I bailed out and the moose walked off the road into some small pines. Bill grunted and he came back out on the road 180 yrds away and stopped, slightly quartering away. I missed my first shot and he was still standing there so I shot again and hit him right behind the shoulder. He stumbled and ran into some mature pines. Me and Bill walked into the timber and saw him go down at our feet was a blood puddle about 2 feet across with bits of lung in it. My mom was there to make it even more special. this is my first animal with antlers.
