Nice bear. I live on the island and we only have black ones. I would definitely reduce my size limit for a nice colour phase like that one.

Superb Bear.

Those sharp claws will look great on a good mount.

the trouble with those colour phase bears is they ruin you for shooting regular blacks again...gorgeous bear

Nice bear, I got one of those this year in Region 3 as well. Same story, not quite as big as I wanted but a beautiful bear none the less. Well done.

Sorry, I wasnt trying to say that I think it is one.... But i would think that the "Milk Man" (a grizz) hooked up with this bears mom. Some wheres down the road.....

Ive heard of it before but never seen it.... But congrats!!

Well I finished the skull today. How it went: bear head got buried for 15 months in the back yard without any cuts to it (required some scraping of white deposit in small areas but easy to do and very clean...be careful with that shovel though), 10 days in white gas to eek out the grease, then 14 days in low grade Costco hydro peroxide, after the assembly I sprayed a varathane coat on it for a shiny look. This one is going to a biology class (hope the kids don't drop it). The score on this was a bit weak being a hair under 16. Smaller bear, but fine since the blonde coat was a keeper.

Me thinks there will be more honey posts coming soon!
