I just finished talking to Phil Bradshaw in cranbrook.

He said that the wolves are at there worst right now in some areas in the EK.

He said that they are coming up from Montana boarder and into BC.

He said that he will be putting out over 200 snares and 50 leg hold traps in a month from now in order to reduce there numbers.

He also said that he gets big bucks for there skulls ,he told me $200.00 dollars a skull he gets for one.

Personally think snares should be banned way to many non target animals caught. Putting them out in a month is way to early should not beallowed till at least mid dec when most bears are denned up.

on a traline every thing gets used my grandpa has a trapline and every thing he gets by accident is turned into bait and it doesnt happen that often mostly rabbits get caught in a lynx snare but i think they sould just let the wolves come more for us to hunt:)

That’s cool. I hear that the fur prices have climbed up a bit too. Overall it seems that trapping finally brings some financial gains again. It's about time too.

He is referring to the hide ,skull is just a short saying meaning the fur from the wolves that he sells.

Phil is a well experienced trapper.

He teaches trapping courses in cranbrook ,he knows what he is doing when it comes to trapping wolves ,he took 32 wloves out of the area I hunt in the EK in the last 10 years.http://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon12.gif.

i dont know what my grandpa tom does but hes head of somthing and a very good trapper
