Was out hunting all weekend with not to much to report on, except my father in law (this is the guy that loves to jab me about chasing animals all other the place) gives me a call to come down ( yes down to the middle of the city) and check out his new friend, today.
Sometimes life is just not fair!
PS:I have never shot a 4 point mulie. Have passed up lots of smaller bucks for past three years to wait for the 4 point.

hes just a baby, keep feeding him for a couple more years, then spike him! Lots of little city bucks around!

Thats the way it is ,you hunt hard all day long not see anything ,then come home to have a buck that is legal staring at you in someones yard.

I know how you feel. I was doing some scouting up in kelowna and saw 13 bucks (2-2x2 6-4x4 and 1 4x5 and the rest were bigger)

The next day which was opening day, nothing. 2 more weeks and nothing. The day before i leave there are 2 4x4 and 1-2x2 right down town. Could have walked over and touched them. Needless to say, been waiting 3 weeks to go back up there...........

Oh yeh, the bow is a fine alternative as I found out last year with my first bow buck. But, putting all joking a side I learned they don't drop like a good neck shot with the 270. I just hope he is up the hill, ( outside city limits) chasing does a little later this month.

I've only seen 3 muley bucks so far this season, all legal 4 points. The 1st: eating grass on the side of the highway just outside Kimberly, 2nd: crossing the highway just outside Radium, 3rd: about 50 yards away from the house I am currently working on.

My mother-in-law in Grand Forks has a bunch of whitetails that visit all the time. Mostly does but there's a smaller 3 point and a real nice 4 point. Just outside the city limits so a bow is an option. Only problem is chasing him thru all the neighbours yards with an arrow stuck in him. Even the deer are becoming citified.......
