London Drugs is a retailer of the spot unit. I just checked their website and they are going for 169.99 for the unit.

it may sound stupid, but what is SPOT

Mr. Dean

Steven, I just picked one up. I may need to pick your brain a bit....

WSM; It's a type of locater. You get it set up and it'll notify loved ones that all is well OF call in the dogs in case of emergency.

Google "spot" for more info.

Not to worry srupp. I haven't even opened the box yet. I leave on the 25th, I should be able to git it figured by then.

Good luck on your trip(s). Come home w/ the BIGGEST grizz that ever stomped the earth!

Srupp, I am counting on you coming back with the most wicked grizzly ever killed in BC. If you dont I may lose faith in mankind all together! Not to put any pressure on you....but again, faith in mankind is at stake!

Need some user feedback...

Is it possible to set this thing up w/ multiple "OK" and "HELP" contacts, say two or three?
All I see on their activation page is room for one.

Yes you can,

I have mine to send a message to my home computer, my wifes cell phone and my cell phone as well. The reason I send to myself is for a confidence check before I leave cell phone range. When I set up my account,I just added more contacts.

I used my SPOT in 4-25 this year, and it never failed to work once. Excellent peice of kit
