A buddy of mine wants me to help him get his cow elk Starting Sept 21 for that lowland 4-06/4-07 Cow elk LEH. Guess I'll hunt 6 pt bulls at the same time. We leave Sept 20th, which happens to be my Birthday so maybe I'll get a birthday 6pointer:mrgreen:
Anyone know where the cows are hanging out that time of year, the farmers he contacted said the Elk arn't in the fields till later in the season so we are probably going to have to hunt timber. We got a few plans in the mix but if someone has some info that would be helpful and appreciated. He's a new hunter since a couple years ago and has taken a couple small deer but a cow elk will definitly be his highlight.
