I am posting this story for my buddy. hes pretty excited and im very proud of him. its just to bad i couldnt be with him when he got it. here goes
we left for are trip sept2 at 4 am drove 800 km up to cassiar and then another hour in to the bush we set up camp and got settled in it was now about 3:30 pm so we went up the mountain on are four wheelers it takes about 1 hour or so to make it up past the tree line where the buck brush valleys start so we went as far as i had been last year and it was now 6pm and 2 people from are party said that they are going back to camp. so me and mark said well we are going to keep going over a couple more ridges and see where the trail goes so it was about 6:30 now and we had gone about 3 more miles further. so we started are way back and about half a mile on the return we poked are noses over into a draw beside the trail where i signaled to buddy stop big bull so i got down got a good rest and ranged it at 229 yard so i held dead on with my .338 and got my self under control and touched off hitting the bull solid in the boiler room and then boom buddy shots to well ok what ever right so we gave it some time and walk up to it and finished it off and wow what a pig of a bull my first moose ever was huge. so i gutted the bull out and halfed it thinking that we could through it up on the 2 bikes well nope not happening way to heavy so we left the bull and headed for camp it was 18 miles of rough country. so we made it back to camp got the other guys and the atv trailer and went and got the bull well 800 lbs or so of moose in a little trailer sucks we had 2 quads pulling and one pushing up some of the hills. not to menchen that every other bum we hit the trailer would roll over so at a bout 3:30 am we made it back to camp with the moose tired as hell hung the halfs and went to bed. so we woke up and skinned it and cleaned it up when we notice that buddie had shot it in the ass yes not impressed o well shit happens it was a great adventure and cant wait for next year. rack was 55 inches wide 15-14 rough green score was 208 5-8s so we will see in 60 days the realy score anyways with you could have been there scotty take care ... chad

all in all they came home with three bulls. the other two being squeakers
