A friend and myself will be heading to area 3-29 in October for a week of deer hunting (and possibly bear). I know the area is predominantly mule deer country, my question is: Are there whitetail deer up in that area? Should I have a whitetail tag or would it be a a waste of money? I've heard stories of whitetail populations moving into areas where they normally aren't found. Your opinions please!

I'd get one. You'd end up spraining your laeg trying to kick yourself in the ass if you didn't have a tag and came across a nice one.
....or even a hybrid.

When ever there is a GOS for a game animal I always have tags for all when hunting that reagion.
And yes there are WT in that region.

I grew up in Barriere and hunted that area alot during those years and still try to get back there once a year for a hunt. There are SOME whiteys there but they are few and far between. I have probably only seen a handfull in all my days there.
