my buck!

Hi. This is my second year hunting. Yesterday my parents and I went out for an evening hunt to an area that we have been seeing deer on our fishing trips this summer. We were walking along a trail when I spotted a deer feeding on a hillside across from us. At first I thought it was a doe but then my dad looked through his binocuars and told me it was a small buck and asked what I wanted to do. I told him that I wanted it. We set up the shooting stix and I told my dad when I was lined up. As soon as he told me to go for it I started sqeezing the trigger and then BOOM! I lost sight of everything but then I saw the deer rolling down the hill. My dad told me that it was down and was patting me on the back and telling me that I made a good shot. We got to the buck and the shot went exactley where I was aiming. I was shooting my dads 7WSM which I used last year for my moose also. My dad made me pull it down the hill by myself to where my mom got the truck to. It was hard work! After I cut my tag we gutted it and skinned it out and loaded it into the back of my dads truck. It was very fun and I'm glad that both my mom and dad were there when I got my buck.
