Hi, Im new to this forum, but love is very much.. I just wanted to share with you guys my first Big Game animal that i got this morning..
THE STORY!
To begin with, im 20 and have never hunting before on my own, but have been shadowing my dad only 2 times when he went for a blackie.. I bought my bow last year, Browning #55, and been practicing the whole year to shoot.. My dad always says do not shoot if you are not sure that you will make a lethal shot.. But this morning it was the time.. We were driving on my jeep and I see a nice young doe with a 2 pointy buck right next to her.. we were in the area with ANY BUCK regulations... so we stoped about 100 meters away, I got my bow out, did a small detour and came as close as 30 yards.. there was nothing between me and the buck.. he wasnt staying directly horizontal to me, but still was good for a shot.. Then I took a shot and my arrow came right behing a front shoulder.. and it escaped through the back leg. SO kinda diagonal shot. The Buck jumped and ran only 15 yards before it died. The death was momental.

here are some snap shots...

Way to go JKR.
Glad to see that you took the time to get into a good shooting position for a lethal shot.
You'll do.
