Spent four days exploring the area last September. The fishing's not the best but the area is great. I love how secluded it is (going again mid-Sept this year)

What do you want to know ?

Talk to some of the locals on your way in. Ask if you can hunt on their property as allot of Gambier is private land. Make some friends and bring a 12Ga. you wont regret it.

Deadeye,
I was wondering what species of fish, what lures work, how are the camp sites,..
What areas are nice to explore and check out...
I have never been there and I am looking at going there on a hike in September.

The hike in is about 10km with about 1000 m total elevation gain. It's on a logging road until you get above the woodlots, about halfway. There's a couple really scenic spots but I won't spoil it. The trail's washed out in a couple spots and there's some debris to scramble over.

Fishing's ok, cutties about 10-12" on flies - caught a couple a day.

The campsites are in good shape: level, packed, with fire rings and log benches.

Tons of snakes and newts if you've got young 'uns.

EDIT: here's (http://www.gambierc.ca/map.html) one of the maps I used (not for nav)
