I was exploring a local area and found ahttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd75/ElectricDyck/IMG_0315.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd75/ElectricDyck/IMG_0314.jpghttp://i226.photobucket.com/albums/dd75/ElectricDyck/IMG_0313.jpg ton of these along game trails. Rubs right? Last years probably eh? Sorry about the sideways thing, rotated them in photo bucket and they show up good in the album but sideways when i post, anyway you get the picture...

Looks more to me like bear claw marks...either way, should be some good hunting along that trail :)

I thought bear claws at first but no bear sign to be seen, plenty of deer tracks and the odd fresh scat. Little black tales, the highest one is 4 feet off the ground with most starting at a foot and going to about 3 and a half. These are a rut thing right? To leave scent and mark territory and try and get some?

Ok, kinda hard to tell the height...it looked much higher than 3-4 ft.

If its on the coast somewhere, its most likely blacktails, although I heard theres a herd of Elk behind Alouette lake (I think it was somewhere in there)

They rub the velvet off on trees, and use it to mark territory.

Rubs me believes.
That one tree in the back could be bear scratch....
