Well another great trip with Kevin from River Jet Adventures. We left PG and spent the better part of two days getting into our sheep spot. Hiking in left us in awe of the country, we saw, Grizzly, Goats, Caribou, Elk, Moose, Mule Deer, Wolverine and of course Sheep...... lots of them, better than 60 rams and all said and done over two hundred sheep. The Lamb retention seemed pretty good and overall the herd was healthy.

I saw several legal rams but still need work on aging rams, lots of rams that were close but each day we were in sheep

Ran into this fellow up there.... anyone recognize him!!

The country was incredible, but he weather was not, hot hot hot... not sure about opening day hunts.

Finally after three hard days of hunting this ram fell, he was 38 1/4 with 15 1/2 inch bases and green scored 168 1/2 and was 8 years old

The weather turned to thunderstorms and then to total rain, our trail became a river!!

When we met Kevin at the river he had picked up two other hunters from a different spot, they too were successful.

Thanks goes to River Jet adventures (Kevin) for once again getting us into great hunting country, I will be back in three weeks for another ride with him up the tuchodi. If you are looking for great country and lots of game I highly recommend giving Kevin a call

Hey Deaddog,
Thanks for sharing the pics and story. Great up there isn't it? Yeah I recognize that guy, no pun intended. Wish I could afford that trip every year. The Ram I took a few years back almost has identical measures as the one you guys got, he lives on in my Hemingway lodge. Can't wait to get back, I'll have to meet Kevin some day. Sounds like he has done a good job being new owner and all.
Congrats to all of you, Rams don't come easy.

Nice job on the ram. I guess if Guy Scott is hunting where you guys were then it was the spot to be. I heard his group dropped 2 rams.

Awesome ram guys, and I'm sure if Guy hunts nearby, chances are you 'may' be in a good area. The pics of the smaller rams, was that just camera zoom(what kind of camera) or through a spotting scope? Congrats again.

The pics were taken thru a spotting scope .... and yes one of the rams was legal by age, however they guy taking the pics ( as I did the day before) out thought himself and talked himself out of taking the shot, one reason to hunt in pairs!! Looking forward to seeing you up there as well Tuchodi! Lots of water in the river (flood stage) when we came out, green green grass, should be a great year!
