Hi all, just stumbled onto this site and thought it looked pretty comfy, so here I am. Any way, for those of you coming up for cow elk and don't know where to go or who to see, stop in at Corlain's Sporting Goods and ask to see the land ownes list for elk. Area ranchers and farmers have their manes, phone numbers and address listed for hunters looking to bag an elk. As far as I know, none of them are looking for you to pay to hunt, they just want the elk gone. Hay is at a premium here due to this years drought and they don't want the elk to ruin it. Like one rancher told me the other day when I was asking him about hunting his place and he said, " Go get your rifle and come back and shoot every ******* elk you see!"
