I am looking at buying a atv for hunting and hauling fish around the farm , but I don't know much about them. What is the most reliable brand? I was thinking honda or yamaha some thing around 400-500cc. Any info you think would help.

Thanks Wild one

Most farmers have Honda's. I'd say the FourTrax Rancher AT 397cc 2wd/4wd looks good.

Comfort, towing/hauling capacity, power, and FUEL economy, you can't beat a 500 Sportsman. I've beat the hell out of mine for 9 years and it's been an awesome machine at all times.

We have 2 Hondas here on the farm, a 450 and 400. They have done well over the past 4 years.

Yamaha make excellent ATVs. I have a couple of Grizzlies and am very impressed with them.

We've had 2 Honda 400 Foreman now for 10 years. They run great, and always start. I've thought about trading them in several times for new units, but these are hard to part with. Very dependable and go anywhere.
These units still have the gear-box, I hear the new ones have gone to the C-clutch similar to the rest of the manufacturers.
