No phone call??????

You must have known I needed a hand to fix the baler all week and then the mower on the weekend.

30C and a 3/4" bolt snapped in half buried into a sprocket - good times.

Never had that much fun in my life.

Ok, I'll bite. Here is a shot of my first stone ram after 14 attempts. Yes, 14!!!! Ended up being a 9 year old ram.
After horse trips, jet boats, a few pairs of boots on many hikes, and even one float plane trip, I had success on Aug 2.
There are some individuals on here that I can attribute this successful hunt on, they know who they are. Advice on everything from my impatience and wanting to keep hiking, not glassing enough, optics, equipment, where to look, and where not to look.
Others around me have provided me with similar advice and encouragement.
I've had alot of time to dwell on my past experiences with chasing these guys around. My own thoughts and feedback from others have shown downfalls, and where I could improve have added up to this photo.
Some have luck 1st time out.....some ......not! Took me awhile, but as a great philosopher once said, "Git 'er done, Got 'er did".

are not on the list . Two rams came out from a boat trip & the other one was a walk in of the hwy .

"Beauty ram, WTSheds!
Amazing it took 14 attempts.
Now how long is going to take to wipe the smile off your face."

The smile actually came off after hiking several hrs back to the truck. Still had 3 more KM's to go, when being tired, I jumped off a boulder (shoulda stepped down), with fully loaded pack, and popped a plastic buckle on the shoulder strap of my pack. The pack went off to the one side but was able to catch it enough to prevent me from falling as well as the pack from completely hitting the deck.
Jimmy rigged the strap back together, finished the pack out, lop sided, and the smile came back!!!!!

PS: just saw an 8 year old ram being inspected at Pouce Coupe. Folks in Trail can expect to see this one.

Hi folks,

This is my first post on here and it only seems fitting that it is to congratulate whitetailsheds on his ram as he pointed me in the direction of this forum.

Great looking ram. Way to go - hard earned and well deserved! I know it will be a long time before the smile disappears.

I just got back from my sheep hunt yesterday. Nothing down this year, bu great experience none the less. My partner and I backpacked in to the general area we got a double header last year (my first ram). Seen 28 rams, but couldn't fit a full curl on any of them. Lots of Grizz this year too.

More people in the area this year. On the hike out, we went by 3 different camps, plus the outfitters camp. The outfitter was the only one that found a legal one up to that point.

I know, that's when holidays start. :-P

Couple weeks up north and then down to 4 at the end of the month for one special ram. Broke at 6 and he's 9 now- should have broke the line again. As long as he made it through the summer should be a good hunt.
