Hi guys, any advice for a new moose hunter? I'll be hunting the Valemount area with limited time. Does anyone know what the odds are like.

Thanks,

Alex

Good luck. There are moose there they are just elusive as hell. The Mclenan or Rosh creek are where I would start good luck. Some of my uncles have tags there again this year and they normall manage to fill them.

Your chances are exactly 53.7% that you will call in and shoot a moose. It is usually 50% chance of shooting something and 50% chance of not shooting something, but with beginners luck you get another 3.7% towards shooting something. Once again, 53.7% chance of shooting something.

Alex---Valemount--Limited time, which means? Is that tag good for all of 7-02. Jelly-bean. What's your window of opportunity? Jel-time! Mu 7-02 tell us about it.
Talk about window.

If You Drew a Limited Entry Hunting tag for moose in the Reg 7: Omineca region, you have a real probability of seeing swamp-donkeys especially a bald one.

Boating on McNaughton Lakes a no no for you, log debris.
Go along Canoe Forest road for a looky loo.
Down the east-side of Canoe Reach.
Or
West Lake road down the west side of the reach.
Logging spurs off these two roads, where you see them.
One more-
Upper Canoe River road take left fork when you come to it.
This area is good for moose and mule deer maybe excel-nt
