So just curious, who will be taking advantage of the new season up in the Peace?

Nope
At this time I have no interest in participating in a friggin gong show that will be going on up there.
Besides I would be driving by some much better places to hunt, with out the crowds or asking permission or wondering if I am on someones land or with in 2000 m of private land.
Good luck to all who will be going.
Cheers

Not this hunter.
I'll be heading up in September. I was planning on a trip up there regardless of the new changes.

I live here so I guess I am stuck here hunting elk as usual, have harvested 17, 6x6 or better, bull elk in 19 years, I dont hunt private land, incredible amount of Crown land to hunt, any news about people not comming here during the GOS is welcome news! although I rarely see other hunters while I am hunting elk, I suppose one day I may! but I will keepan open mind as to consider those other spots that are better to hunt ELK at! to each his own,
Ill be going. But Ive been going there for about 15 years regardless of the seasons

Nope, not I. My idea of a "long drive" to go hunting is about 30 minutes from my house. My "close spot" is about 5. :)

I thought I read a post earlier that the 7-20A GOS for elk wasn't limited to private land and anything within 2000m. There is nothing in the regs that stipulates this either. I believe all crown land within the highlighted 7-20a is also open. The private land hunts are only the late season LEH I believe.
