knife making/makers in the Kamloops region?

I'm wondering if there's anyone in the Kamloops area that makes custom knives? I want to know because I'm thinking I'd like to have the chance to make my own knife. I've just never heard/seen or read about anything like that in Kamloops.

There are a bunch of knifemakers around Kamloops. Check out a copy of the Knives annual, names and adresses of makers are listed by country or state.
You can also check the Canadian Knifemakers web sight or the western Canada knife assn. sight. Bladeforums.com has a canadian section, and CanadianGunNutz.com has a knife section as well.
Better yet if you really want to make knives, get a peice of steel, a new file and go at it. When you get done with the file get it heat treated and put on the handle.
