Same question as yesterday(Damn Hackers!!)

I'm in the early stages of looking for a range finder and the two that look the best to me are the Leica crf 900 or 1200 and the Bushnell elite 1500 with ARC. The reason i like the 1500 elite is due to the ARC feature and the lower price but i have no problem spending the money ont the Leica if it's really wort it. Any pro's or cons you have noticed from expeirence would be great.

Thanks Ryan.

ARC feature is great for bowhunters. Great for riflemen, too...

But I prefer the Leica 1200 CRF due ot it's lightweight, compactness and ability to range to 1400 easily.

I've had both, prefer Leica, but it's what features you want that counts,a nd to me compact is a big thing.

i have the 1500 elite and from what i've used it so far has really impressed me,,especially the bow mode but i'm anxious to try the rifle mode this fall since you can program it to your calliber of rifle and will tell you where to hold the cross hairs,,it also reads very fast

I just bought the CRF 1200, and am VERY impressed with it. The optics are awesome, it's small and light, and it has the Leica name on it, which for me means many years of trouble-free operation. The Leica is only about $150 more than the Bushnell...

I looked through both before I bought and didn't find any real differance but the Lieca 1200 which I bought was just more compact for packing around. I can't say anything about the Bushnell in low light as I have not used it but the Leica is really good.

I have the Leica 900 as I do not shoot past there:eek:, hell I can hardly see past there:-P. I bought it because it is a Leica, it is compact and it has RED led, which is good in low light conditions. It is pretty cool to range things while sitting there glassing, and I would bet that is when the 1200 makes it fun. I can get 999 out of my Leica and I bet the only difference between the two is the 3 number to the 4 numbers on the display.

Cheers

I have the Bushnell Elite and prefer it because the optics are better for one who wears glasses.

I've been looking into the leicas pretty hard and only found 2 bad reviews so has anyone with the leica noticed: A) If it doesn't preform properly in crappy weather? or B) The red LED display is difficult to read in the sun?

Thanks Rayn

I would agree that the red display is hard to see in bright conditions. I used the Leica in heavy fog, along with a Bushnell Elite, and neither work well, but thats ok you can only see 200 yards anyways max
