Going to the Gold River area (July 27-28) and would love a fishing report/ estimation of what to expect at that time. Thanks!!:)

I would also like to try some prawn fishing while i'm there. Any tips...depths I should try?:)

Fish Maquinna, lighthouse, seabird on the flood, bajo (if its open) silver betsy flasher with 72''-78" leader, choves and glo chovy head at 33' for the first two places and 70'-90' for the second.
Thats prime time there (if they are on time).
I've had numerous 20 plus days at that time right through til the third week of august (I dont bug em further in, I usually have a freezer full by then and hate weeding through the coloured ones)

Gold River, Cougar creek area is great fishing. I nailed my biggest spring there(32lbs). Have fun and good luck. Oh, try fishing around Camel rock.
