Elk 4-08 C help

Hello everyone, I have just received my leh's and I got a cow/calf elk draw for 4-08 C from sept1 to Oct 10. My first question seeing as how I've never hunted for elk is does anyone have any pointers, and my second question is for those of you familiar with 4-08 C do you have any suggestions as to were to start.
