Cow/calf draw in 4-23

Need any info for area 4-23 for an elk cow/calf draw from Oct 1 - Oct 10. Don't know the area at all, so any help would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about 7-23 but.
This is what I would do if it were me ,I would make a trip up there this summer sometime and go visit some farmers that have big farms.
I would tell them that I have a cow calf tag for this years hunting .
If you have problems with elk in your field can i hunt your land.

You might be told no ,but in the other hand they might welcome you first hand and give you the OK.

I would make a short holiday of it going there and look around.

Check out Grave Prairie, the Big Ranch/Musil conservation properties held by the Nature Trust north of Sparwood.

is there an elevation requirement? 1100m or something like that?

if so, look into it before you hunt Grave Prairie and the Big Ranch, they are above 1100m, not by much, but.....

Thank you very much for the information. It is my granddaughter's draw, and her first elk hunt. The area was second choice, but it will be great to check out someplace new.
