Note: I have this message in the Hunting Accessories forum as well

I searched through previous threads with no luck in finding a good game cart for using in central BC. We need a cart that will support close to 400 lbs...and the Cabela's game cart need not apply.
We tried it the year before taking moose quarters out of the bush in the north Cariboo. It failed miserably even though it stated it would support up to 350lbs. The wheels folded like a 3 & 8 in Texas Hold'em. I think they had a nice flat, Iowa cornfield in mind when building this cart.

So, if anybody has any info on a good solid game cart that would hopefully take out two moose quarters at a time, that would be swell...and we are talking about Cariboo size moose which most of the time the quarters seem to be around 150lbs.

Do you use a quad?? If so you could always go for a trailer similar to what I have built for the 2008 Elk Season....

RB, I am in Abbotsford but I have relatives in the OK and Williams Puddle.

We don't use quad's, they are restricted in our area, which we like

I have a few carts that I have built over time.
One solid one,two break down models.
Single wheel for following trails on side hills.
I basically used them for a while now I just bone out and pack if too far from the road.RB

I'm going to try using a two wheeled wheelbarrow this year, just got it from Canadian Tire and need it for other household stuff as well. I think it will work well. Time will tell.

I have the Cabelas magnum hauler and pulled out a spike bull moose in one go no problem. Many big deer in that cart as well over deadfall clearcuts you name it and it is still together. You can get the dual wheels on it as well.We have two no problems just be sure to tighten the spokes.

I have owned a Sasquatch cart for about 8 years and have had many bears on it as well as 1/2 a moose twice and it has not broken! I spruced it up with commercial fishing net so that nothing will fall "through" (as in horns, hooves, loads of fire wood etc).

Glad to hear these testimonials on solid product. The family gave me a cart for Christmas last year and it is well made. Looking forward to loading a few mulies on it this fall.

Took a really good look at them at the tradex show...looked like a really sweet cart. I will pick up one in the near future.
