For me it would be something in a 30-06 , I am looking a sako with the laminated stock currently to replace my trusty globco conversion 30-06 that is older than I am ;o)

It would be a toss-up between my Savage 99 (.300 savage) or my Marlin 1895 (45/70).

The savage would likely win for sentimental value.

mine would be my 338 win mag. plenty of gun for everything in bc and fairly mild recoil. 30 06 will kill everything too but I'd still prefer the 338 for grizzly therefore if i could only use one gun for everything that would be it.

My favorite rifle is my laminate grey wolf Sako 300 win mag w/ swarovski 3x10x42. It has no sentimental value. However it has gotten the job done on one bear, and it will do the job on hopefully a lot of meat this year. Remember, if its not a magnum, then your not a man. haha. Stir....stir.....stir......

For sentimental reasons I need two - my father gave me a Voere Titan II in 7mm RM and I inherited his Steyr-Mannlicher Luxus in 7mm RM. We spent many days in amazing country with those two rifles.

Marlin 45/70 loaded with specials topped with a Elite 3200 1.5 x 4.5 can do anything this province can throw at it. But my Sako .338 and Remington Mountain .280 are'nt to bad neither. But the Marlin does fit nice in the scabbord!

I love the gun I have had for 39 years ,its part of me.

I bought it from Roberson sporting goods in Vic back then.

this gun was a cougar vore 30-06 at one time , then had Gill Carmikle put a 28 inch douglas supreme barrel on and do some work on the mussel action bolt to except the 7mm bullet.

This is the one and only gun that I love and would never think of others in my life timehttp://www.huntingbc.ca/forum/images/icons/icon7.gif .

I guess for all round I'd have to say my .338 Browning. It can be loaded to hunt anything in North America from Blacktails to Grizzly and it shoots really well as long as you don't get too hot with the loads. I feel bad leaving my faithful .270 out of the running but for all round I feel the .338 is better equipt for anything.

I have been using a 300 weatherby mag for almost 20 years now...Hand load 180 grain balistic tips and it shoots very small groups...I bought my son a Remington Mohawk in 308 win cal two years ago when he was 14...That thing is a tack driver and only 6.5 lbs...I may steal it when I go hunting and he has to stay in school the odd time this fall..:-P
Both guns have taken moose cleanly.
